Gude Passive Park Honored with a Potomac ASLA Award

The Gude Landfill Passive Land Use Master Plan received an Honor Award in the Design Unbuilt category from the Potomac Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. The jurors noted the visual impact of the reclamation park, the sense of scale, and expansive vistas and wonderful amenities. The master planning effort was completed in collaboration with environmental engineers, the owner, and stakeholder groups. The plan highlights low impact recreation uses including meadow views, natural playgrounds, disc golf, and environmental art installations, along a 5-mile loop trail.
