Landscape Architect (3-5 Years of Experience)

The right individual shall possess design, graphic and technical skills in the production of landscape architectural documents, from conceptual design through construction detailing. In addition, the individual shall have skills relating to the technical aspects of landscape architecture, including site design, ecology, grading and drainage, plant material, construction materials, construction detailing and construction administration.
Applicants must have a degree in Landscape Architecture with 3-5 years experience in landscape architecture, urban design, or environmental design with an emphasis on transportation and transit design, institutional, campus, commercial, housing, and environmental design. This individual will be capable of working on multiple projects in various stages of development with concurrent deadlines. The applicant must be able to work cooperatively with the principal and team to ensure design integrity and graphic consistency. The applicant must have the ability to visualize solutions to problems; and assist with mentoring junior staff members.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a design office preferred.
• Accredited Degree in Landscape Architecture, (Landscape Architects Licensure preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with interdisciplinary coordination and landscape architecture-primed projects preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead construction document and specification preparation; construction administration services; and cost estimates.
• Demonstrated production experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Sketchup are required (Proficiency with MicroStation, REVIT, and ArcMap is beneficial)
• Experience with specification writing and Master Spec
• Experience in the development of fees and scope of services associated with landscape architecture services a plus, understanding of fees and scopes required
• Ability to effectively manage time and self-edit work
• Ability to integrate seamlessly into both multi-disciplinary landscape architectural design teams as well as Transportation, Urban Design / Planning teams preferred
• Ability to perform QA/QC reviews
• Excellent organizational skills
• Attending events and preforming business development activities
• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal communication and writing skills (English) are necessary
• Includes travel within Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Corridor

Strong sense of design is a requirement & proficiency in AutoCAD or Microstation, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D graphics; and hand graphic/rendering skills are preferred. Excellent written and presentation skills are critical. Initiative, enthusiasm, creativity, commitment, and a can-do attitude are a must.

Floura Teeter is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. The firm operates as a hybrid/flex office. This position would be a mix of primarily in-person and hybrid/flexible work using remote technology. Staff are expected to be in the office as needed for collaboration.

The applicant must have the ability to visualize solutions to problems; and assist with mentoring junior staff members.

Marketing Coordinator

Floura Teeter is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented marketing assistant/coordinator to join its business development and marketing team.

Working with Principals, the Director of Marketing, and firm leadership, the selected candidate will:
• Prepare and coordinate proposal materials, including staff resumes, firm overview and project sheets in a variety of formats
• Organize and manage all electronic marketing files and marketing information
• Attend pre-bid meetings as needed for RFQ’s and RFP’s
• Represent Floura Teeter at various in-house and networking events
• Keep website content up to date
• Support the firm’s social media strategy by regular monitoring and posts
• Support the firm’s business development activities
• Provide additional marketing support as needed

Job Requirements:
• Coursework towards or a completed degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Business or related discipline
• Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn
• Excellent project management skills to keep projects on track and meet all required deadlines
• Demonstrated experience with initiating projects and work
• Superior interpersonal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of a variety of Web-based and traditional software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office products, social media applications, website content management systems such as WordPress.
